Gateway to University Honors (HNRS 1010) is a course that all students in the University Honors Program are required to take. Throughout the course, we are given assignments that allow us to familiarize ourselves with the ins and outs of UHP. We explore how we hope to fit into UHP and how our unique experiences will impact each of us. The course observes the following objectives:
1. Understand the requirements and benefits of participation in the University Honors Program.
2. Evaluate personal goals and interests related to the four University Honors Program thematic areas.
3. Explore the value of reflection and engage in the reflection process to deepen their learning.
4. Develop relationships with members of the University Honors Program community.
I am fortunate to have UHP Advisor and Assistant Director Ryan Harder as my instructor for this course.
