UHP+ Discover
This undergraduate program engages students in the University Honors Program in research within the humanities, social sciences, education, business, music and other disciplines. We observe a common misperception that research opportunities appear exclusive to STEMM (science, technology, engineering, math, and medicine) fields, but this program aims to increase awareness that research is available and important to students in all fields.
In this program, undergraduate students will be paid up to $4,000 (depending on time commitment and financial eligibility) during the summer to work full-time with faculty mentors on research projects and to attend UHP workshops addressing topics such as networking and professional presentation. This opportunity is grounded in experiential learning, which is central to the UHP vision of developing students into global citizen scholars who lead innovative efforts towards solving the world’s complex problems. This program has been created so that students gain a deeper understanding of their field, establish professional contacts with leading faculty, and are better prepared to advance to the next stage of their career.
